It’s easy to find all sorts of stuff on the internet - news, photos, friends; but
it still isn’t easy to find other people who share your interests, passions or hobbies,
so we created wasabi to help with that. Wasabi is the place for creating and joining
online clubs or communities made up of people interested in all sorts - sport, technology,
music, business, politics, whatever your interested in. We’re just at the start of this
journey and over the next few months, wasabi will offer even more.
We’re really keen to hear any suggestions that you may have for improving

2. Do I have to pay?
No - wasabi is totally free.
3. How do I register?
To register with wasabi simply click 'Register' in the top right corner or click 'Register today' located in within the login area. Fill in the registration steps - Confirm your registered email address All done - you can start enjoying wasabi right away!
4. How do I login?
- Use the login area displayed throughout the site or Click on 'Login' at the top right of the page, enter your registered email address and password followed by clicking the 'login' button.
5. How can I change my password?
- Make sure you’re logged in to wasabi - Go to “Profile” followed by 'Edit profile settings. Enter in your new password and click save.
6. How can I change my registered email address?
- Make sure you’re logged in to wasabi - Go to “Profile” followed by 'Edit profile settings. Enter in your new email address and click save.
7. I can't create an account
Follow the steps described in 3. How do I register? If you still have difficulties,
contact us via the 'contact us' page for further assistance.
8. I can't login
Make sure that you’ve entered your email address and password correctly. Remember that
the system uses both upper and lowercase letters. If you still have difficulties,
contact us via the 'contact us' page for further assistance.
9. Why should I use my first name and surname instead of my username?
By using your real name at wasabi you make it easier for old school friends to reconnect with you and current friends visiting the site.
10. I forgot my password
Click on 'forgotten your password?' within the login area, then enter your registered email address, click 'email password', you will be sent an email containing your account info

Your email or username is easy to remember – it’s your registered email address
12. How do I deactivate my wasabi profile?
If you’d like to no longer be a member of wasabi you can deactivate your account by logging into your account, click 'My profile' followed by 'Edit profile settings'. At the bottom on this page select 'Deactivate my profile' to send a request to our customer care team.
13. How do I edit my profile?
Make sure you’re logged in to wasabi - Go to 'Profile' followed by 'Edit account settings'
14. How do I change my profile picture?
Make sure you’re logged in to wasabi - Go to 'Profile' followed by 'Edit profile settings' you will then be able to add and save a new profile picture.
15. How do I change my personal info?
Make sure you’re logged in to wasabi - Go to 'Profile' followed by 'Edit profile settings' you will then be able to update and save your details.
16. How do I accept a friend request?
Make sure you’re logged in to wasabi - Click 'Friends' you will then see all of your outstanding friend requests. Click 'Accept' or 'Decline'to the request.
17. How do I add a user as a friend?
Make sure you’re logged in to wasabi - Click on the user’s profile picture to
view their profile - Click on the Add to friends link to send them a friend request
18. How do I remove a friend?
- Make sure you’re logged in to wasabi - Go to 'Friends', find the friend you want
to remove - Click Remove friend.
19. How many friends can I have?
You can have as many friends as you want :-)
20. How do I send a private message to other wasabi users?
You can only send a private message to members that are displayed in your friend section. To send a Friend on wasabi a private message, click 'Friends'then find the friend you wish to message and click'Send message'. You'll then be able to create your message and send it.

21. How do I access my private messages?
Make sure you're logged in to wasabi and then Click 'Messages', you'll then be able to access new messages and previous messages also.
22. How do I search for another user?
You can search for other users by using the search bar section on top of each wasabi
page using the drop down menu to select profiles. After that, the
search results with all related profiles and content.
22. How do I search for clubs?
You can search for clubs around your interests using the search bar section on top of each wasabi page. Use the drop down menu to refine your search to only display search results for clubs by selecting 'clubs'
23. How do I search for videos?
- Search for the title or a related word by entering this in the search bar - Sort
the wasabi results by videos only
24. How do I search for photos?
- Use the search bar section - Search for the title or related word by entering
the term in the search bar - Sort the wasabi results by pictures only
25. What is "content"?
"Content" is all of the stuff you and otehr members add to the site - your photos, written entries, and
videos.
26. How do I see my content?
You can see all of your content listed in one place on your Profile page
27. How do I create content?
You can create content from your Profile page or from any club that you’re viewing.
Find the Post section at the top of each page - Decide what you want to add -
Click the icon that matches it and add your stuff
28. How do I post a new text article?
In the 'Add content' section within your profile or a club select the 'Text' tab. Insert a title for your post, followed by your text article. When you're happy with your entry, click 'Create text post' - You can also add photo
or video posts by selecting the correct tab.
29. How do I search for something?
Just search for the keywords or tags related to the subject that you want to find
by using the search bar on top of each page. After you entered a term and clicked
search, you will find your search results.
30. How do I upload video?
Make sure you're logged in to wasabi. To post a video simply visit your profile or a club that you wish to post content to - Select the video tab in the 'Add content' section at the top of the page - enter the video post details (title, description and URL) and once you're happy with your post click 'Create video post'. Wasabi only currently supports YouTube videos. To post a YouTube video, visit Youtube and find a video that you like - copy the web address of the video and paste it into the video post URL section on wasabi.
31. How do I upload photos?
Choose the image tab in the 'Add content' section - Give your post a title and description - Click
'Select Image' (you can add up to 12 photos to one post) - Once you have selected all the images you want to upload, click 'Create image post'
32. What is a wasabi result / search result?
A wasabi result is the any result you get by using the search bar. After you search
for a topic on wasabi you’ll get content search results which contain members, videos, photos, comments and clubs.
33. What is a club?
A wasabi club is something you any member or wasabi can create around interests and invite their friends and otehr members to join. Clubs are places that you can express yourself around certain topics and meet like minded people. Clubs also make it easier to keep you posts organised and also help you find the things that interest you most.
34. What is a School club?
A School club is created by wasabi for each school that we have in our schools database.
You can join the club that matches your school and reconnect with old school friends.
35. How do I create a club?
If there is a topic that you are really into but is not yet covered by anything
on wasabi you can create a club yourself. Simply click 'Profile' followed by 'Create new club', you'll then be asked to give your club a name, description and to add an optional image
to represent your club. Once you're happy with the details you've enter, click 'Create new club'. Once you're club is created, other members can join and you'll also be able to invite your friends to join too.
36. How do I invite my friends to join my club?
When you create a club you will have the option to invite your wasabi friends -
but also friends who are not yet members inviting them via email or importing your
emails address in hotmail or gmail. You can invite friends to join your club any
time, just be clicking Edit club settings.
37. How do I join a club?
Just go to the club that you want to join and click Join this club.
38. How many clubs can I join?
You can join as many clubs as you like.
39. How do I leave a club?
Just go to the club and click Leave this club.
40. How do I report inappropriate content?
- When you’re watching a video or viewing a photo or reading an article, look for
the 'Flag' option - When you open a message in your wasabi Inbox there is
a 'Flag' option In any other case, please content us making
sure that you include the link to the page where you saw the inappropriate content.
41. How do I report spam?
When you open a message in your wasabi Inbox, you can use see the 'Flag' option
to report spam.
42. How do I contact wasabi?
If you want to report inappropriate content, report spam or have a general question/feedback
you can contact wasabi via the 'Contact us' page. A link to this page appears at the bottom of each wasabi page.
43. How do I search for a school?
You can find your school by using the search bar at the top of each page and selecting Schools from the drop down menu. You can also find your school by using the 'Find my schools on wasabi' section.
44. How do I join a school?
When you find your school club just click Join this school and add your graduation
year.
45. How do I contact my school friends?
Click on your friend’s profile and add them as a friend. When they accept your friend request, you'll then be abel to send them private messages.
46. How do I leave my school club?
Just go to your school club and click Leave this school.
47. How do I join more than one school?
You can join as many schools as you want - so just search again and join each school
that you attended.
48. What is the 'News feed' page?
The 'News feed' is the page where you can see all of the news from your friends,
including new content add, clubs joined that you might be interested in, friends requests, and club invitations.
49. How can I share my content?
- Make sure you’re signed in to wasabi - Go to your profile and choose the content
that you want to share - click on “share” and choose if you would like to share
with your Friend or Clubs.
50. How can I share other user’s content?
Make sure you’re signed in to wasabi Choose the content that you are interesting
to share click on 'share' and choose if you would like to send it to your clubs
or share with a Friend.
51. How do I change my default settings for email notifications?
If you no longer wish to receive email notifications from wasabi, you can update your settings by logging in to wasabi - click profile - Edit profile settings. Simply uncheck the box next to the type of emails you no longer wish to receive.
